1. (How long have you been doing this?) I have been learning about essential oils and creating products since 1997. It has been a wonder journey for this home-grown, “green” artisan. We have a mother-in-law apartment behind our garage that has been converted into my studio. Everything is created in small batches. I make my soap the way your grandmother would have done it, but without the animal fats.
2. (How did you get started?) I received a book about scenting your home naturally. It mentioned essential oils. I started buying many different books about essential oils and learning everything I could about the oils, safety issues, and therapeutic/traditional uses.
3. (Do you have a chemistry degree?) I do not. I have always been very good in the sciences and possess a very inquisitive mind.
4. (How did you come up with the formulas for your products?) I started by researching the essential oils one would use for a specific condition. I also have a book about carrier oils and their benefits. At this point I start putting the two together. Each successive generation is a little better than the next.
5. (Do your products really work?) Yes. My most frequent comment from my customers is: It really works! Since I use minimal heat and pressure, the fragile essential oils still have their therapeutic benefits. I would not sell any product that did not work. I am out to better the environment and “us” people.
6. (What happens if I have an allergic reaction to a product?) If that happens stop using the product immediately. Please email or call us so I can research what happened. If possible I will make an alternative, and/or change the product if we find out what is causing the problem. The you can send the product back to me and I will either replace it, give an equal-value item or refund your money. Your choice.
7. (What kind of guarantee do you have?) I have a 100% money back guarantee. If you are unhappy, call or email me. Then after you send the product back, I will replace it, substitute something else or give you your money back.
8. (I have a health concern or idea for a new product, can I talk with you about it?) Yes! That is how at least half of my products came into existence. Feel free to email, or call me.
9. (Why does it take so long to get my order?) I am a micro business. I have no other employees. I make everything myself. I start working on an order right away, but it can take 2 or 3 days to get an order ready to ship. Then the shipping can be 2 days to 5 days depending on the USPS or UPS. I have no control over the shipping service. If it is delayed, it is as upsetting to me as it is to you.
Questions about our Shopping Cart –
1. (I don’t have a Paypal account and don’t want one, how can I order from you?) When you get to the “Review and submit” page, click the “Send Payment by Paypal” button. (Paypal processes all my credit card transactions.) On the left side of the screen, under “Don’t have a Paypal account?” question, click the “Continue” button. Fill out the credit card information on the left side of the screen. Click the “Review Order and Continue” button.
2. (I have forgotten my Paypal password and I’m having trouble completing the ordering process.) You can enter your credit card information of the left side of the screen. If that is not working, you can call us at 815-874-0924 and I can take you order over the phone and the credit card information and process it manually.
3. (The shipping costs seem high, why is that?) You shipping costs also include the labor or packing, accounting and getting the postage. Each order takes at least 15 minutes for these three operations. Also, it is so difficult for me to get the shipping right. With my products being so many different weights and prices, I have found I lose money on shipping as often as I get an extra dollar or two. Being small, I get no discounts from the shipping companies. When I find my shipping is going quite a bit too high, I try to include a Fragrance Spray or an Essential Oil Mist Spray (my choice) .
4. (What will you do with my personal information?) I do not get your credit card information, it is encrypted. You name, address, email and all that is used in my accounting system. From that point, nothing else happens with it. I do not sell it, rent it or give it away. I do not want my personal information used that way and I will not use yours.
