Salt-Free Herb Blends for Healthy Cooking
(note: I am using a 4 oz. shaker container...some herbs are heavier than others...)

Tasty, Healthy Herbal blends without added salt.  Use on meats, poultry, fish, potatoes, pasta, salads, soups.

Lemon Pepper Blend (2.15 oz)
Tasty, Citrus Zing.
garlic, lemon peel, black pepper, cumin, red pepper, oregano, thyme, onion,citric acid, paprika.

Salt-Free Herb Mix (2.5 oz)

I find myself grabbing this blend often.It is great in anything I have put it in...including sour cream for a chip dip!
Garlic, pepper, onion, carrot, tomato, orange peel, basil, citric acid, celery seed, mustard, parsley, lemon oil, red pepper, oregano, marjoram, laurel

Italian Blend (1 oz.)

This is a favorite blend! Oregano, basil, rosemary, thyme, sage, marjoram...great in sauces, stews, soups

Jamaican Jerk (2.5 oz)

This spicy mix will take you back to the Caribbean Isle! Authentic, commonly used blend for meat rubs, stews, meat dishes.  Garlic, onion, allspice, salt, coriander, red pepper, thyme, mustard, lemon peel, nutmeg, black pepper, ginger, cloves.

French de Provence (1 oz)

Combines sweet French herbs and lavender with flavorful Italian herbs. Used for stews, meat dishes, and sassy sautee.


Make an herb-rich meal. When cooking pasta, or soups:  Add 1/2 - 1 Tbls. of herbs to the water. Do not pour off, thicken water before serving with a little flour, corn starch or other thickener...(one of my favorites is a little Parmesan cheese.)
When pan cooking meats or vegetables: use olive oil, butter, or other light oil of your choice. Start with 1 Tbls. add to cold skillet and let warm. Add the herbs to the oil in the spots you will be putting the items. OR sprinkle the meat or vegetables before cooking.
Remember these herbs have great heal benefits and your body will thank you for using them.
Cutting back on salt use? Stop using packaged foods...this is where the worst sodium overload comes from.
Using a few sprinkles of salt just before eating gives you the flavor of the salt while using significantly less.

Hawaiian (Red Alaea) Salt, fine   ---   Red Alaea salt is a mellow flavored salt that compliments all types of meat dishes, as well as soups and stews. It is gaining popularity as a topping for chocolate deserts and ice cream.  Native Hawaiians have used it for centuries to stop bleeding and hemorrhaging from cuts and minor injuries. Historically it was mixed with Noni leaves to create a mixture thought helpful in the prevention of certain types of cancer. Traditionally, Hawaiian women as they reach their late 40's and 50's increase their intake of the salt as it is thought to help with the onset of menopause. The typical constituents for Hawaiian Red Alaea is as follows--Boron, Chloride, Calcium, Fluoride, Iodine, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Potassium, Sodium.

Black Lava Salt, fine   ---   Hawaiian ocean water is drawn into complex array of filters and will go through a reverse osmosis process. From here the water is evaporated through a sophisticated solar evaporation method leaving behind the finished salt product which is hand collected and further infused or "bathed" in activated Coconut shell charcoal.  Black lava salt should not be confused with the Black Salt of India. Black lava has an earthy flavor and smoky top note that distinguishes itself from many other finishing salts. It is high in anti-oxidants, a natural detoxifier, and digestive aid.  Black Lava salt contains many trace minerals that are essential to the human body. 4 Color Peppercorns, Elite Blend

This elite rainbow peppercorn mix is a generous blend of premium black Tellicherry, Muntok white, India green, and Brazilan pink. White Sea Salts, 3 ounces

California Course Sea Salt   ---   Our sea salt (sodium chloride) is all natural, solar evaporated, and is gathered from the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California.  Sea salt is not as refined as table salt, and it still contains traces of other minerals, including iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, manganese, zinc and iodine. Sea salt is thought to be healthier and more flavorful than traditional table salt, and many rave about its bright, pure, clean flavor. Sea salt is actually not as 'salty' as table salt, so recipes may have to be adjusted for taste.

French Fine Sea Salt   ---   This French sea salt comes from Brittany France near the town of Guérande, and is made by naturally evaporating seawater in shallow pools. This all-natural sea salt contains high levels of minerals.  As water naturally evaporates out of shallow costal pools, salt crystals slowly form. The task of harvesting this salt is done entirely by hand. No mechanical machinery is ever used and no metal ever touches the salt. Nothing is added and nothing is removed.
